A Message from Our CEO
Dear Visitor,
Leading Dennelisse LHCSA is both a privilege and a personal calling. This agency was founded by my father, Luis Pons, whose lifelong commitment to justice, dignity, and care shaped the work we continue today. His journey—from human rights activism in Cuba to serving the underserved in New York City—inspired the creation of Dennelisse in 1987.
I grew up witnessing my father’s unwavering dedication to people who were often overlooked. He built this agency to support seniors, children, families, and individuals affected by chronic illness, disability, and systemic inequality. His approach was always rooted in cultural understanding, compassion, and practical support.
Today, I carry that vision forward with deep respect and a strong sense of purpose. Dennelisse LHCSA now serves communities across all five boroughs and the Lower Hudson Valley. We provide home care, care coordination, and pathways to employment for thousands of individuals working to build stable, healthy lives.
One of the cornerstones of our work is our state-approved HHA and PCA training school. With bilingual instruction and hands-on guidance, we help students enter the healthcare field with confidence and pride.
Our work is always evolving, but our core values remain the same: meet people where they are, listen before we act, and support every client, caregiver, and student with respect and compassion.
This is the legacy my father began, and it’s the one I’m proud to continue.
Warm regards,
The Dennelisse LHCSA
